How often should UPS batteries be tested?
UPS Battery testing should be done at least once a yer, more often for critical or no redundant systems. The batteries should be tested with a load tester and be able to maintain output without fading.

How long do UPS batteries last?
UPS Batteries last 3-7 years depending on many conditions, how often they are loaded, storage temperature, (more heat less time). Smart Power replaces a single UPS battery or an entire bank depending on length of service.

How oftern should my emergency generator be tested?
For critical loads such as a data center and health care facilities Smart Power recommends a weekly generator excercise, and a supervised monthly or quaterly test, hospitals should follow established requirements. Generators should be loaded during testing and a full load transfer should be performed to be sure all transfer switches are exercised and functioning properly.
