Assessment
A firm contracts Smart Power for an initial assessment; this effort identifies opportunity and creates initial budgets. The assessment is the first step. Completed in a few weeks and puts the options in a form that gives management the data they need to make a decision. Many firms have Smart Power do this assessment every few years to see if new technologies make sense.

Engineering and Planning
After management has chosen the energy conservation measures they would like to implement, Smart Power begins the design process, focusing on the details, costs and generating a most accurate savings analysis. Once the saving is proved out, the submittal process to secure rebates and incentives is begun.

Implementation
Completed specifications and incentives secured, work can begin. Because Smart Power designs the work and primarily uses its own staff the schedule can be very accurate. Clients can choose to have Smart Power complete the project directly or manage the process.

Fixtures
We select fixtures carefully for energy savings and for performance. Energy controls such as occupancy and daylight sensors also produce additional savings. We also put a lot of attention into the controls that will turn lighting loads off when they are not needed. Nothing saves money like turning off loads. Smart Power has direct factory relationships for Fluorescent, HID, and Site Lighting, which eliminates an entire level of mark-up and allows us to include additional features and still be very competitive.
